Carpal tunnel can be one of the most frustrating consequences of working with your hands. When the gap that protects the tendon in the wrist becomes inflamed, this is called carpal tunnel syndrome. Causes of carpal tunnel can vary from twisting, turning, or continuously doing the same motions with your hands and wrists.
This syndrome can include severe nuances that greatly affect the way you perform your work. The symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome consist of:
Inability to grip without soreness
Inability to move the hand as well
Lack of feeling
Burning in the joint or palm of your hand
Medical personnel in our facility at Unity Spine & Joint have years of experience assisting patients with this syndrome and have developed expertise on how to handle and treat this syndrome. They will help heal the inflamed tendon and are able to implement the most effective tools you need to protect your wrist while you work.
A few of our plans we use to treat carpal tunnel syndrome can include muscle relaxing therapy, trigger point therapy, and at-home practice and treatment. If you just want a medical diagnosis to ensure there isn’t any more serious damage to your hand, we can take care of that, too.
